The second annual Walk for Healing Hearts was held on Sept 12^th, 2009.  It was a great success!  It was a bright and early day for many.  We had over 550 people in attendance supporting Intermountain Healing Hearts.  That is nearly twice as many participants as last year! Wow! I am still stunned! It was an awe inspiring sight to see so many people together to raise awareness for Congenital Heart Defects, and raise funds for Intermountain Healing Hearts. The event was a great success!  Thank you to all who came.  We hope to see you all (and more) next year. 

We had a special moment to honor the valiant hero’s who have finished their fights. We released butterflies after their names were said. It was very touching. The butterflies sort of banded together as they flew off… 

After the Angel ceremony we proceeded with the prizes! We had over $4,000 of donated items to give away!  It was so much fun.  Thank you thank you to all who donated prizes!  Check back soon on our website for a list of all the generous sponsors and donors!!! 

There was a lot of time and effort put in by all members of the IHH board (and spouses).  If you have something to add and would like to be involved next year, please let us know!  We are always in need of help.  Also, if you have any comments or suggestions for next year, feel free to share.  

I’m looking forward to Heart Walk 2010 already!!
